Death Valley, California
Last Updated: 12/17/2011 - 08:47

Join us once again for the "Oldest and Lowest" of all Airheads events - the much beloved Death Valley Rendezvous! As always, we'll head out to the desert over President's Day Weekend for a respite from the winter chill.

The registration fee this year is $30 per person for pre-registration, which includes keg microbrew, soft drinks, snacks, and camping Friday through Monday. Walk-up registration will be $35 at the event. Each adult will be issued a commemorative cup when checking it at registration - no other cups will be provided.

For an additional $15 per person, Kelly Pixton and Kevin Kempton, world-famous caterers of the Last Chance / First Chance Rendezvous, will be serving Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning breakfast. Plan on providing your other meals, but there are plenty of options locally.

Pre-registration, while not required, is strongly encouraged. In the event that we get more people than our camping area can accommodate, first priority will be given to those who have pre-registered.

The rendezvous will be held regardless of Mother Nature's whims, so plan your routes with an eye to the skies and come prepared to have a good time regardless of the weather.

To get more information about the rendezvous, or to request registration forms, please contact Northern California Airmarshal Andrew Hartman at airheadpilot@gmail.com.

Billed as Europe's largest vintage vehicle market and technical show, the first one was in 1975. Due to the popularity of the event, there are two Veterama events - April and October. These events have saved countless vintage and antique vehicles from being lost; the availability of parts and knowledge breathes new life into many historical vehicles.

The April event is split into two weekends. The first weekend (April 14-15) will feature both cars and motorcycles, while the second weekend (April 21-22) will be motorcycles only. Hours are 8:30a-6:00p on Saturday and 8:30a-4:00p on Sunday. Tickets start at 8 euros per day with reduced rates for multiple days. Parking is available.
