Bench Mark Works, Sturgis, MS
Last Updated: 03/06/2016 - 14:29

Just as a reminder, we are doing our gathering of old friends along with a swap meet, kicking tires, and lying again this year, May 6-8, 2016.

So, everyone is invited to come. Stick that old BMW in the back of the truck, and escape the snow up North.....

All vintage BMW motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to gather at Craig and Elaine Vechorik's Bench Mark Works LLC motorcycle museum, campground and vintage parts store for a weekend of vintage BMW motorcycle-related activities.

Craig "Vech" will likely present impromptu technical seminars to share mechanical knowledge he has gained in over forty years of repairing and restoring vintage BMWs.

There is no gate fee for the event. There is room onsite for camping but no meals will be served so as to keep the stress levels down on Vech and Elaine. Weather permitting, there will be a Saturday evening group ride to eat at Pap's in Ackerman, MS.

Bring your old spare parts to sell. Lots of fun - browse used parts, kick tires, and show off!

If it rains, there is plenty of room inside to enjoy your weekend. Children and pets (tasty ones) are welcome at the event. (only kidding!)

RV space is only available at city park, about one mile from Bench Mark Works LLC. For RV space rentals at City Park, call Sturgis Town Hall at 662-465-7970.

Bench Mark Works LLC is located:
- Twenty miles west of Starkville, MS
- Nine miles east of Ackerman, MS after you get off the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway
- Three hours west of Birmingham, AL

Foss Drugstore, Golden, Colorado
Last Updated: 03/07/2016 - 15:08

This annual event is a venture between Norton Colorado and Bob Ohman. The purpose of the Old Bike Ride is to encourage people to bring out their old motorcycles and ride them. American, British, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, motorcycle, scooter, sidecar, concourse original or hideous mongrel, any engine capacity, we do not care as long as it's old enough. The approximately 75-mile route takes us over some of the finest motorcycling roads of the Front Range. The Old Bike Ride is open to anyone riding a motorized vehicle with less than four wheels made in 1980 or earlier. We also honor people who refuse to quit riding just because they got old, so a rider over the age of 75 can ride whatever they want to, dammit.

We are trying to encourage more riders of the female persuasion to get involved in vintage motorcycling. Therefore, for OBR13 and until further notice, women of any age are welcome to participate while riding (not as a passenger) a motorcycle or scooter of any age.

The ride will start from the same location in downtown Golden as last year: the large parking lot behind the old Foss Drugstore, one block west of Washington Ave on 13th Street. Maps will be distributed to qualifying riders starting at 8:00 AM. Rider's Meeting at 9:15. The ride will start at 9:30 promptly. More details at:

Burkesville, Kentucky

The rally dates are set and hope you will mark your calendar to join us this year. Riders from all over the country gather to enjoy some of the best riding in Kentucky and Tennessee. There is something for everyone from curvy, smooth asphalt to rocky creek crossings. Camping is free on the banks of the beautiful Cumberland River and several fire pits are spread throughout the main camping area for folks to gather around and join in the fellowship. A steak dinner, excellent live music, and many door prizes add to the fun.

There are well maintained toilet and showering facilities (bring your own towel and soap) and a covered pavilion. For those traveling in RVs there is limited RV parking. Most people take advantage of the camping but for those who prefer hotels there are several to choose from with the closest being within walking distance. Make your reservations early as rooms fill up quickly. Both guided tours and self-guided routes are offered and GPS files will be available on this page.

Please consider taking advantage of pre-registration as there are great benefits. Registration is $55 or pre-register for $45! To be guaranteed a rally T-Shirt, you must pre-register. Pre-registration ends April 29th. For questions please contact the rally chair at We look forward to seeing you there!
