The Texas Children’s Toy Run brings motorcyclists together for a very worthy purpose: the joy of a child receiving a gift at Christmas. Motorcyclists donate a new unwrapped toy to participate in the ride. The toys are donated to Texas Children’s Hospital for distribution to children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital.
For a child facing illness and the uncertainty of hospitalization, toys are not just toys, they are tools. They help with the developmental, emotional and educational needs of the patients. Play also provides distraction and promotes a sense of fun in spite of challenging circumstances.
The event is to be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016. The toy run will begin at the Entergy Texas Conroe Service Center located at 2802 North Frazier.
We are currently seeking sponsorships and raffle or silent auction items for this event. Toys collected will be delivered to Volunteer Services at Texas Children’s Hospital on Friday December 9, 2016.
To respond to this opportunity, sponsorship checks can be made payable to Texas Children’s Toy Run and mail to Entergy Texas, Attention Keith Rodgers, 9425 Pinecroft, The Woodlands, TX. 77380 on or before October 17, 2016. Should you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact Keith Rodgers at 281-362-4061.
