Has anyone ordered one of these heads? https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BMW-R60-2-R50-2-R60-R50-CYLINDER-HEAD-SPECI...

If so are they all that they seem to be?
AS I mentioned in an earlier post, my 1966 R50/2's spark plug insert came undone when I pulled the right spark plug out...just screwed right out along with the plug. I called Vech and they said they don't do work on heads, but gave me the number of Memphis Motor Works. I called and the woman said they guy who works on motorcycle machining is out for a month due to heart issues. Bob's BMW wasn't much more helpful and was very vague about pricing and what could actually be done. I called Vech back to buy the pin wrench to remove the exhaust stud, and he suggested I look on E bay. That's where I saw these "Brand New" heads. $850 is not cheap, but I'm guessing it could get close to that trying to repair?
Please, any thoughts on this topic and if anyone has dealt with these Ebay heads, I would love to hear from you. The seller's name is Klassic Cycle Stuff.
Thanks in advance,

New?? I seriously doubt it.

New?? I seriously doubt it. I can't find those part numbers, most likely because they are no longer available and have been removed from any references.

Spike_Buck

Spike_Buck sells a lot of vintage /2 parts on eBay and seems to have excellent feedback. But if I were you I would have my head rebuilt. Did you try calling Dan Neiner at Cycleworks? He rebuilt my LK heads a few years ago and I was very satisfied with the work done.

I don't know the seller. I

I don't know the seller. I guess I was just taking issue with the description "new". Are they new or should be say something to clarify what the product really is?

Dan Neiner's website

Dan Neiner's website http://cycleworks.net doesn't really say where he's at. Be aware that he's become a one-man operation and his turnaround time has suffered. He gets the work done, but the schedule might not be great. That's what I've heard/read online.

Other people can work on heads. Check with Vech. Memphis Motorwerks. I had my R69S heads (as well as lower end) done by Dave Clark at Forever Endeavor Cycles in St. Louis.

Contact him.

I cannot vouch for those heads from personal knowledge, but I have bought a number of items from "Spike Buck" (Michael Benoit) and have never had a problem. If you contact him through eBay's messaging system, I think he will provide the information you're looking for.

Still seems a little sketchy.

Still seems a little sketchy. I asked him who manufactures the heads. He (Spike_Buck) said the heads are made in Germany, but said the manufacturer wouldn't let him say who they were, for fear of customers going straight to them...hmmm. Seems odd. Probably just gonna get my head repaired.
Thanks for everyone's help on this!

Uli's in Germany also sells

Uli's in Germany also sells these heads. with and without valve hardware. I share your curiosity. I hate Butterheads. There seems to be no fixing them and some 21st century metallurgy would go a long way towards fixing the problem.

Long did mine as well

Randy Long rebuilt my heads a little over 20,000 miles ago. So far, so good.

I have been dealing with Spike Buck for years. He may be the middle man but he has never done me wrong. I have bought a ton of parts from him and I have nothing bad to say about him.

I called Randy today. I have not heard back from him. I need the heads on my R90S rebuilt. I look forward to hearing from him.
