Hello all,

I am restoring my R69S and am about ready to paint the side car outlet cover. When I cleaned the outlet itself it turned out it was brass and shined up very nicely. When new were these outlets painted or just left in the natural brass and then left to get oxidized?

I am trying to be as true as possible to original.

Thanks!!!

I do think they were painted black original
I also notice this
I did not paint them as you said they look better in their natural brass finish
Your choice
