I have a Denfield Solo seat on my 1960 R50. I noticed they there are 3 different mounting holes on the brack directly under the seat and three holes in the frame to mount the seat to the frame. I am assuming that these holes provide for different stiffness seatings for the seat.

Are the back holes of each the stiffer setting?

Yes...the back holes improve

Yes...the back holes improve the leverage and ability of the mechanism to bear the load. Makes it stiffer...doesn't raise or lower the seat.

FYI; I just swapped mine last

FYI; I just swapped mine last week and when I put mine to the back settings the sides of the bracket flexed enough that the center tube popped out of one side, I ran a bolt through to keep it in place. might have been a fluke but double check it
