I would like to get a tank bag or two for my slash-2s with the small fuel tank:
At least one with some capacity to it.
I used a Harro Elefantenboy 4060 23-liter bag on my R60/2. I got it in 2000 from Stemler, which was cheaper than Bobs or Blue Moon, and sold it a couple of years later. I think I had to use a razor knife to cut a hole for the gas cap, and when the Euro bars were turned hard left, the horn button pressed against the bag, which would not happen with US bars.
The Harro is "period", and allows filling the tank without removing the base - just unzip the front of the bag and lay it back onto the seat.
Huggett sold a similar Mobile Tradition bag that had pre-cut knockouts or holes in the base for both the gas cap and the toolbox on a large tank.
... I checked the site (http://www.motorrad-stemler.de/index_e.htm) and did not find any reference to Harro or Elephantenboy.
Maybe it was one of the other German vendors. I can't find my record and can't even connect to Stemler's site.
I see the bags on Uli's site at:
The 4060 looks and works just like the larger 4070 shown, just does not stick up so ungainly high.
