Hi Folks,

I just joined this group. I'm working on a rebuild of my 1975 R75/6 and will move on to my wifes 1973 R75/5 after this project is done.

I'm in the process of repainting. I've used a Dremel tool to grind out the hairline stress cracks around the bolt holes in the fenders. The question is the best filler to use in the ground out areas. The fenders are plastic not fiberglass. However, I've seen posts on various forums that recommend using fiber glass resin to fill these areas in. Is the the proper material to use.

need any parts?

Fiberglass risin or any two part epoxy resin should work. I am parting out a '74 model with a faring and bags. It runs but has been stored for years. Good engine and tranny.

Hi Steve,

Hey, thanks for the confirmation on the fiber glass resin. I've got most of the parts I think I need, but I'm going to also work on my wife's 1973 1/2 R75/5 long wheel base next. Many of the parts are interchangable from the /6 to the /5.

Best.
