Just wanted to introduce myself. The name's Gregg and I'm happy to be here. I've owned a couple of BMWs before but neither were termed vintage. I currently ride a brand X V4 but recently inherited my dad's 71 R75/5 that he and I used to race in AHRMA and WERA vintage. I don't know that I'll ever have anything significant to offer but I'll pester the heck out of y'all with questions.

another newbie saying hello.

hello everybody, i have owned a 1966 R60/2 since 1976, however about 7-8 years ago i got it running in my garage and a loud hammering noise came from the left cylinder, i shut it off, and found the exhaust valve seat had come out of its recess and stopped the valve from closing, the piston then proceeded to do bad things to itself by pounding on the valve, i will probably need another cylinder head also. i also own a 1980 goldwing and a 1985 goldwing, both with sidecars, but lately i have had the urge to fix the beemer, which is why i am nosing around this website. chaddokid.

He's lame-y...

...and he's out of here.

(For those wondering what's up here, we had a spammer; emphasis on the had part.)
