I have a chance to pick up a 1999 Ural with sidecar, the engine is toast. What engine/transmission combination would fit this bike?

Ural

Hi

If you go here,

http://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/

(probly the hammering and wrenching section).

You can ask some of the Ural Guru's on what can be done. They'll be happy to help you with your question.

I used to own a Ural retro, Since I couldn't afford a real WWII BMW with a sidecar. (at least not yet)

Btw - did you know that rust is really Russian lock-tite?
