Anybody know a website that lists Honda motorcycles by year and engine numbers? I ran across a Honda Baby Dream sitting in the desert outside El Paso. I looked at the engine number...it's CA95E-500XXXXX. From what I can tell on some websites I've found, this is a late model 150cc Baby Dream, maybe in the '68 time frame. It's mostly there, but has some wear and tear. The engine is not frozen...I pushed the kickstarter a few times and could hear and feel the engine turning.

I'm thinking of getting it...just because. I don't really need another project and this would probably have to reside inside...no guests for a while! I can basically get it "free shipped" as I'm doing work out in this area over the next few months.

Thanks...

Bruce -I did run across that

Bruce -

I did run across that site in the limited searching I've done so far...very informative. I was hoping to find something like Phil Hawksley's website for BMW. Based upon the the website link you provided and the serial number that I've seen, it must be one of the later ones (not '68 but maybe '66). The guy said he wanted $300 for it. Here's a picture:

Yes, the tank is on backwards...it's just sitting there...I turned it around "normally" when I looked at it today.
