Is anyone else going?, I was hoping BVF would be the first for my newly-restored R2 but that's not going to happen.

I am already packed and halfway to the rally (I live in Houston, Texas but I work in NW Louisiana) so I just packed my rally stuff as I am going to leave from here (work).

I would love to go, but it's a long way from the left coast. I was there in 2003 for the RA rally, just after they opened the track, and it was a wonderful venue. The museum is not to be missed.

I used to "commute" from Galveston, Texas to Buttonwillow, California (1768 miles from my house to my office and I drove). A buddy took me to the Museum last year and I booked a room for the festival right away!, the museum bike-count is over 1,200 now.

My next good ride is the Veterans Day weekend BBQ in Deming, NM, and while not a vintage event, the BBQ (which I help cook) is great! That's about 1300 miles from here, and I'll probably take 2.5 days to do it, so don't call me an Iron Butt.

I'll be there for sure. Haven't missed one yet. Only about 200 miles for me. I'm swinging by the Atlanta airport to pick up a buddy who's flying in from Oregon. A couple of years ago, I was talking with some friends from New Zealand in the museum lobby at the Festival and George Barber joined us. We chatted with him for about 15 minutes or so. A very gracious guy and a pleasure to talk to.

The Boss called today to tell me that my relief would be coming a day EARLY! so in the morning I am Alabama-bound.
