Hi everyone, I am trying to help my friend out who has a 1950 BMW R25 from Germany which he is trying to restore, but has run intoa couple or roadblocks. Firstly he cannot find any books on the bike like a Bentleys or Haynes manual's for cars. Secondly is stuck right now at a point where he cannot get any spark and trying to source a 6V battery and any wiring diagrams would help.
He specifically requested a wiring diagram for the on/off switch for the headlight and for the point setting and dwell he said would be a bonus.
I also know that he had to throw out his seat for the sidecar earlier this year because wasps had made a home for themselves in it.
So if anyone could help me help him that would be fantastic. I am asking for him because he had no idea what a forum was. So any tips or links to sites with parts, books, and even wiring diagrams would be a tremendous help.
He has come so far with his project and it would be a shame to see it not finished and have the bike rot in his garage.
BTW he has contacted the nearest BMW dealer numerous times for some assistance, to no avail.
Thanks in advance,
AfroWookie
