I am looking for the saddlebags for my bike.
Saw good ones, seller boltnt (on ebay). Can anybody check them and give an advice - are they ok?
Thanks, Tom
Are you talking about Item 150483803605? These are Denfeld bags, similar to Krausers, BMW Touring Cases etc., which were installed on various model bikes. I can't be certain they would fit your bike...the mounting rack is the key for doing that...appears the seller is selling that separately.
One thing I've heard abuot these types of bags is the tendency for them to fly open while traveling down the road. I can't remember which of these types this happens to. People have retrofitted the locks as well as gotten fiber straps to go around them as a safety precaution.
They're good looking bags and are period correct.
Interesting Denfeld bags. I have not seen Denfelds for post-1969 BMWs before. But, obviously, you cannot mount them without a mounting rack.
You can see Krauser bags on the red R75/5 and the /5 mounting rack on the black R75/5 here:
Here is the rack he is selling. Looks like it has rust in various places.

I'm not very good at finding things on ebay. Do you have a link to any auctions with the bags in question?
What kind of bike do you have? I can't figure out what an "R/5" is...is that an R5..or an R/S...or a /5 as in an R75/5??
