Hello all. Let me introduce myself by saying that I've owned BMW boxers for about 20 years. I've restored a few of them and I'm looking for my next project. I'm looking for a plunger frame project. I once had a r51/2 that I was restoring and regretfully sold Broken Heart

If anyone has a lead on a project, please let me know. I'm not interested in an already restored bike.

Thanks, Matteo

Are you familiar with the

Are you familiar with the IBMWR marketplace? There are usually quite a few bikes for sale there...not sure about plungers.

http://www.ibmwr.org/

I wasn't able to get to the marketplace page right now...the site might be updating. Plus I've heard that all bikes are lumped into one display, rather than separated like they used to be.

Worth checking...

Thanks for the reference.

Thanks for the reference. I've been looking there for a few months. It hasn't been working for a couple of weeks. Maybe the reason it is off line is because it is being fixed. Great resource.

....and the winner of this

....and the winner of this weeks conspicuous consumption of plunger style BMW motorcycles is.....(just in case you were wondering) Mr. Dean! Just kidding; but thanks for keeping the vintage BMW restoration shops in business. These bikes are beautiful!
