AFAIK, a LWB 5 and /6 seat

AFAIK, a LWB 5 and /6 seat should be the same. Things changed yet again in 1977 for the /7 seats.

In checking the on-line fiche RealOEM, the part number is the same - 52 53 1 233 960

Tom -

The one that I like the most is RealOEM. The website is:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

Select your motorcycle (under Archive) and all of the other pertinent info. Better yet, just type in your 7-digit VIN and the rest will be filled in for you. You'll also be able to see what month/year your bike was built.

Other resources are:

Max BMW - http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.asp
A&S Cycles – http://www.ascycles.com/illustrated_parts_catalog_main.aspx
