That's my bike. Glad you like it.
Those R90S pictures belong to Jon Lars...he used to have a web page but can't find it anymore. But this bike listed on this page:
http://www.cafeboxer.com/WebScrapings/R90S.htm
Found the webpage:
The top pic, the black bike with the checkerboard stripe - that's a very good looking plate atop the engine to replace the airbox/starter cover. The nicest looking one I've seen. Does anyone know who makes this or where to buy one?
wow, I have a 75 R90/6. Did they do something different with the drive shaft, etc.. to fit the big tires?
On the dual shock bikes, there's an internal wheel spacer that can be inserted to move the wheel to the left to help clear the driveshaft tube. However, it also moves it enough so that the brake shoes don't get full contact. The movement is only about 1-2mm but still...
Did you make the triple clamp or by it? Also, what rear sets are those? You did an absolute beautiful job!
Mac/Schrader, the bike belongs to Jon Lars in WA state. Very nice bike.

I love this paint job. Might paint my /6 like this. Anyone know what the headlamp with the built in cluster is from or is that a cafe custom job?

Hi!
The headlamp is a modified /7 series headlamp.
Greetings

Hi!
The cover shown in the pic is a "1 of two" we built.
However a guy here in germany sells similar covers.
You could try to contact him via german BMW forum.

Interesting looking at these bikes - I am torn between liking the concepts
and crying because an original bike has been demolished.
Can we get a gentlemens agreement going. When a modified bike is posted it's accompanied by the statement "no original bikes were harmed during the making of this motorcycle". Although we know it's not true it might make me feel better.
Some sexy bikes though...

Believe me, when I bought my bike it wasn't a bike at all. Far from being original.
I love all colors of the bike. The brand is the important. BMW is the best... I want to have one.
...are those bikes still R90S?

I appreciate the R90S forum being added to this site. After viewing these beautiful and exotic R90S', I couldn't help sharing my version that I built many years ago. I was more influenced by the B&S Superbike effort, and then the San Jose racer. Most of my mods were for handling with the power mods being limited to exhaust, dual plugs, & head work. It was stock for a few years while I did several cross country trips, then I started messing with it. I honestly can't say that it was a "better" bike, 'cause man, I loved that bike stock.
One of the best I ever owned.
