The latest BMW bike is an old police bike, hence 12V system. Otherwise unrestored and well kept...

I bought it this year by a guy, 71 years old. He thought he was a little "too slow" to ride it these days. So I thought he'd relax, retire now... his answer: Nah, I still have two jobs to keep up with, and helping as a caretaker at the local golf club...

I wish I will be as cool and going strong at that age!
