
A while back someone saw my 1958 R50/2 and called it a "Frankenstein". I think that sort of fits since the frame is a 1958 R60 with a 1968 R50/2 engine. Previous owners bobbed the rear fender, put on 2-in-1 pipes, did a pretty poor pin-striping job, put on gators and handle bars making it look like a /2 US model. I think the seat might be original, it is very comfortable. Currently it is running on R51/3 carburetors but I have recently purchased the correct ones and will be putting those on. Have also finally managed to find the correct rear fender, coffee can tail light, etc. at a fairly reasonable price. So I will post photos showing the transformation of my Frankenstein into a Sleeping Beauty. It may take a while. . .
