Doug Rinckes' book covers the electrical systems of the R25, R26 and R27 singles, as well as the R50-69S twins. It includes a great deal of information and procedures, and is heavily illustrated. Full color wiring diagrams are included, as well as specifications and common modifications. It's available from Bench Mark Works. It's softcover, wire bound, has 66 pages and 49 illustrations. Highly recommended!

From Barrington Motor Works, this manual has been in preparation for almost two years and is worth the wait. This is a comprehensive and very detailed how-to manual for the /2 owner/restorer. Step-by-step instructions are provided along with a listing of tools needed for each job. The manual contains 512 pages with more than 450 photographs as well as more than 60 original illustrations. Laminated workshop assembly guides are included with the manual as well.
From the Clymer Maintenance Manual Series. A very complete and easy to use manual covering maintenance, troubleshooting, complete disassembly and reassembly. Not as detailed as BMW's official Reparaturanleitung, but working on these old mounts is not exactly rocket science.
